Apply discount codes to specific products

Whilst global discount codes are great, sometimes clients want to be able to restrict them to certain products within your ecommerce. The addition of a product selector within the discount code menu would solve this. If no products are selected then it applies to all.

Could also use the existing category tree, which is on the Discounts menu to sort this..

I could really use this in Q1 2022! I wonder if something similar to the tax code feature might be more useful?
Maybe have a dropdown next to the tax code option in the product layout that allows you to apply any available discount code in the system to that particular product. If there is a value present, then an adjustment is made. If no value is present, no adjustment is made to the price of that particular product. Just like the tax code.
If you have many products, you can update the .csv file, marking all products you want the discount to apply to with the discount value or discount code ID. Leaving the items that should not be discounted blank.
